Offering BoardConnect in Your Community!

BoardConnect® , a program of Nonprofit Enterprise at Work (NEW), is a comprehensive board development program that builds the leadership skills of community members and connects them with nonprofit boards. Through the program, nonprofit organizations receive training in board responsibilities and effective recruitment practices. Individual community members (candidates) learn about the roles and responsibilities of board service. BoardConnect® staff and boardnetUSA, a convenient online tool, facilitate matching between organizations and candidates. Through this system of training and matching, nonprofit leadership is strengthened and communities benefit from an increase in knowledgeable and effective boards and board members.

NEW began expanding BoardConnect® in 2003 by creating a network of Local Service Providers. Currently the BoardConnect® program is being run in over 40 counties nationwide. In addition to Michigan, we have inquiries from organizations in Missouri and The Republic of Ireland. Your organization can be the next provider of this exciting, results-oriented nonprofit board enhancement program.
